Curious on what folks are running for a 15 inch rim on a 2 inch narrow beam which doesn't impact the fenders? Let me know your brilliance!

What width?
What offset?

Thanks for the inquiry. I’m not sure if that feedback helps, since that’s exactly what I’m trying to figure out.

I’m looking for a set of tires that will fit 15-inch rims and allow full movement without rubbing the fenders — something along the lines of xx/xx/15. There have to be others out there who’ve done this and nailed down the right measurements. Figured I'd start there before trying to take a guess at it myself.

ghias are all hand built and after 50 years or so many have had repairs so they are more different. What fits on one, may not fit on another. Different wheels have different offsets. Sometimes it hit or miss. Plenty of info to get going on here...

This can be a slippery slope since a large variable in this is ride height. Adjustable beams, drop spindles, and general levels of torsion fatigue may have a setup that works on one car not perform so well on another.

I have a '58, 4" narrow adjustable beam with 2.5" link pin drop spindles and Wilwood brakes, supposedly zero offset from stock. My front wheels are deep 6 Fuch replicas cut down to 4.5", so they went from about a 36ET offset to close to a zero offset with that 1.5" removed from the backside. I don't have my car set super low, and with this setup I have no rubbing. Tires are Michelin XZX 135SR15. If I had a 2" beam I'd imagine the stock 4.5" fuch replica with its 42ET offset would work about the same.

If my car were set lower I would get some rubbing on the outside fender I believe.

This is my friend's '70. Stock width, non-adjustable beam with 2.5" drop spindles. Replica 4.5" Fuchs with 42ET offset. Pretty sure he's at a 135 tire as well. No rubbing.

FWIW My wheels are 15x5.5 with 5” offset, 195/45 tires and 2.5” drop spindles on a stock beam. No rubbing.
