Wow, congrats, a very nice car!
What I could not see, no pics, is the upper affixing of rear shocks, or what kind of rear shocks were used. A 1962 stock frame has the long shock towers for rear shocks. Imo, something must be shortened, fine tuned, or the body rear wheel arch cut out for clearance. |

Here you can spot some and looks like modified late shocktowers.

Thanks, but not really much to see. How about a pic, when the rear shocks are installed? A solid construction for that constellation would be interesting for more projects and members, I believe. This modification most probably includes cutting and welding of shock towers. The lower shock mounts of the 311 trans are twisted. Maybe old axle tube used. Which rear shocks are used? Would be interesting to see, how it works, or which special parts are needed, pics?
Also interesting would be, how the choke cable and kind of pull knob is located, solved. |

My favorite VW of all time...Just sold my 1951 Transaxle. I have a rear torsion from 51 sedan been cut out of chassis, short shock towers. would like to sell, Blue jeans, Buckeye AZ 623889-1241 |
