Hi All
Offering some Leather seats that will fit in a Ghia, but not a bug. Here's the pitch
In the early 80's Audi created the Quattro, and then turbocharged the 5000 model. The interior was leather, the seats were electric, with memory. A small control box let you store 4 seating positions and recall them with a push of button. These grey leather seats were the ultimate 90's Audi products. They come with a complete wiring harness and the factory manual
I purchased the front set in the late 1980's, sadly that Ghia was too damaged and rusted to repair. I tried to fit them in a Beetle, a Split window bus, and an A2 Golf. They are a bit wide for the bug, too thick for the bus, and the wrong color for the Golf.
They are in the Washington DC area, and free for pickup. Shipping of seats is difficult, and I prefer to hand them over for free. The Passenger seat is welded to a Beetle seat riser (easy to fix). It would be easy to adapt them to stock Ghia seat bases. I have a set of seat bases, but they aren't free.
Email if interested.
Scott

I've got a pair of fiberglass kick-panel speaker mounts with holes cut for 6.5" speakers. Sourced from JBugs a few years ago.
They've been covered in black faux leather (upper), TMI black carpet remnant (lower) and lined with Amazon's version of dynamat. The carpet needs to be re-glued, or they can be easily stripped and recovered however you like.
Free to a good home - just pay shipping or we can arrange for a pickup if you're local to LA. |

Free to a good home -
H4 headlamp units, LED turn and marker lamps integrated. The turn/marker lamps are 2 levels of intensity, so the higher intensity circuit can be used as a turn signal and the lower intensity circuit can be used for markers.
I used these when my original markers were shaved, and before I picked up earlier bullet marker assemblies.
Local(ish) pickup will be a lot easier and is preferred; these don't weigh much but are fragile and might be expensive to ship. I can look into shipping them to you at your expense. I'll just need you to be patient with me on turnaround time.
First come, first served.

^^^
Since I posted the above, I have found a few more efficient ways to ship parts, and estimating tools that are more accurate than I was first shipping parts.
Moving these might not be quite as ominous as I first thought.
If you're interested and not local-ish, let me know; I've got the ability to come up with a reasonably accurate shipping estimate.

Not exactly sure what it is you're suggesting there, but I will tell you this..
I am legitimately GIVING these away to a taker who is willing to pay MY COST on shipping. No profiteering on my part.
Got 4 sets? Good for you.
They're taking up space on my shelves and I don't need them any more so I am passing them along to someone who can use them.
That's what this thread is about.
You do you. |

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Sir.
The easiest way for me to post in this thread was to link to my ad.
I have had these in my classified for 5 years and decided to get rid of them. The parts are FREE. ....but they weigh over a pound and I ain't gonna pay the dang FLAT-RATE postage of $10.65 anywhere in the United States of America
Have a wonderful Sunday. |

It didn't go unnoticed you took down the "give me a break" from your post.
Just so everyone watching is aware, if you still have them and can still send them for $10.65 shipping I will GLADLY refer my interested party back to this thread - and indeed did so - and give him a chance to reach out to you. Because I CANNOT send them from my location to his for $10.65. That's the state of peer to peer residential shipping at this time. If you have a commercial shipping account and can deliver them along for less, more power to you. I already posted these would be best delivered in person to a local pickup to avoid the shipping costs.
Your post advertising $10.65 to shipping could easily be misinterpreted for someone to think I'm trying to rip them off for shipping, and that's not how I do things. |

The "gimme a break" was intended to be a joke. ( brake pads---get it?):and not in any way referring to your generous offers of free parts.
$10.65 is exactly what I pay as a "civilian" at our local post office for a small
Flat-Rate box. I really don't think I should pay to give stuff away for FREE.
